Quadzilla Is Spinning.2

Another “spin” list with a wide range of music and musical styles from my DJ, Producer, electronic bands, and more collection. This list is decidedly international. It starts with Mark Hawkins, aka Marquise Hawkes (although he is now going by his birth name), a British musician and DJ represented by well-known electronic music label, Houndstooth Records. This is followed by Datarock, an electronic rock band from Bergen, Norway. “Let Me Love You” is by German DJ, WEISS, and “Snus,” is a collaboration from Swedish DJ & Remixer, Avicii and Sebastien Drums (aka Sébastien Aumiphin) a DJ and house record producer based in Nice, France.

The second half of the playlist includes Crazy P (formerly Crazy Penis…hmmm…), aka Chris Todd and Jim Baron, a British electronic music group formed in 1995, Funky Destination, a Croatian music project by Vladimir Sivc, a producer, DJ, singer, guitarist, bassist, and keyboardist, who is now based in Austria. The last two selections belong to Jansons & Senzala, a collaboration between Jon Santos (Senzala) a London-based House/Techno Producer and London-based DJ Jansons, and finally Soul Reduction, who is Swedish-born, London-based DJ Henry Rodrick. Like I said: International! You will hear heavy bass and drum lines, a variety of tempos, some great piano/organ and vocals, spoken word, and much, much more.

So, when you listen to this, think of all the places around the globe that produced this music. Talk about a “universal” language!

Enjoy

  1. Did you ever get around to watching The Triplets of Belleville movie? There’s “spinning” going in there and it came out just after it became popular. There’s “spinning” in there just after it became popular!
